Great place for a street drink. Only 3,5 euro for an Aperol Spritz served with a small portion of nuts. Why bother to go to a bar when you can enjoy your drink on a bench at Piazza Vittorio Emanuele?

My favourite chiosco in Catania. Friendly service, good vibes in the evening and tasty drinks. Try their Aperol Spritz, tamarindo and seltz al limone.

Good cafe but his Mandarina drinks are more expensive then the other Chiosco on the other side of the parking lot. This guys charges €1.20 and only uses 1 lime, try the other guy. But this guy has alcohol so he always busy.

On vacation I rarely go to the same bar, but this was special one.  To my suprise, they have also variety of tasty foods, and they are also delicious. But the drinks is the reason why to go there. The stuff was one of the best! Thanks for experience.

Amazing food and cocktail experience highly recommend place I would say it’s a must to try in Catania!! Food flavours was great, fresh tasty, staff very friendly and knowledgeable about menu and drinks also speaking English.
If you looking for something good then this is place for you 🥰!

Collage Boutique Bar

Charming pub remotely located in the center of the town. The food was wonderfully prepared with eye on details. The Hamburgers that we ate were perfectly grilled, the meat was moist and tender and pink/red in the centre, as a burger should be. The bun was crunchy from the seeds and tasted nice. We also has a cold cuts plate which contained Italian delicacy’s. Last but not least the stuff was welcoming, pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend this place if you are in a search for a good food not packed with tourists.

The hamburgers are huge, difficult to eat them but we did not like it. The bread was old and the meat had bery little taste.
They do not have any fresh juices or drink without bubbles for kids.
Potatoes were really nice and the location its very nice too.
Unfortunately we will be not coming back.

I was so happy with the service, the waiter was really kind and helped us pick the food and drinks. When I wanted to change the drink I ordered they had no problem with it.
The food was delicious, they did not disappoint.
100% recommend it, the variety of the food is amazing.

Fud Bottega sicula

Best margherita pizza I've ever had (with bufala and sun dried tomatoes). Good tuna file as well. Elegant place and bit more expensive, but the food is very good and the service is fine as well. They have 2 menus and you can only order from one of them (no mixing): Mediterranean or Mediterasian. The inside is very nice and classy. We had a very nice time.

Note: If you plan to order (in English) just a glass of wine and not the entire bottle, make sure the waiter understands this well, or they might bring you an entire bottle. They were very understanding in our case and did not have us pay the entire bottle.

MA is definitely one of the places to go to when you're in Catania
It's one of the more expensive and elegant places here
The food is good the drinks are not too shabby 😅 let's say it one of those places you can take your date

Make sure you make a reservation, it can get very crowded.

The sashimi is excellent, along with the carpaccio. Very fresh and delicious.

Stay away from the rolls, they use low quality rice and unfiltered water. Very disappointing, don't waste your money on the rolls.

Make sure you have a green pass and they speak little to no English.

I been to Oxidiana years ago when I visited  but then I wasn’t vegan. Tonight I they were able to make a vegan udon dish, which was delicious. The bartender made us wonderful drinks. Tonight I was in such good company I forgot to take picture but I will when I return again soon

The food is incredible, I'm not giving it 5 stars because in the end when we wanted to pay the bill they took too long to bring it (it was peak dinner time) but I expected better service in that sense, I think they need more organization in that part.

Oxidiana

Very chaotic system and stressful Café … Just wanted 2 stuffs. We had to pay first at cashier then get the baked goods :/ We had to wait over 10minutes at the cashier (we were the first in the row), cashier was unfriendly. The man behind the counter waited too, because he waited for our cashier receipt… in the end we enjoyed the baked goods back in our hotel on our lovely balcony. 2 stars because it was very delicious and cheap, too (2,50€/stuff).

Great place to stop by if you have time and patience. We seat outside and had to wait about 5 mins for waiter to take an order. But the stuff is friendly and speaks English. The place is famous and that’s why the waiters are busy. But we got what we ordered in next 10 mins and pastry was great. Arancini catanese is the best, ragu is also very nice. And ricotta and spinach fagottino is very tender and delicious.

We want there for breakfast and had to wait a few minutes for a table to become available. The staff was really friendly and spoke great English.

The food was very tasty although the cannoli was massive! Coffee was very nice too.

The reason for not giving it 5 stars is the seating arrangement and how busy the place was making it not so pleasant to sit there.

Pasticceria Savia

We had a great evening at Sapio. They offer a varied selection of tasting menus, catering to different preferences, while staying true to the Sicilian cuisine.
The staff was great, and the servings were very aesthetically pleasing. We particularly enjoyed the appetisers and desserts

We arrived to the restaurant at our reservation time at 8 PM. Once seated, we had to wait for 15 minutes just to get the menu. After another 15 minutes of waiting (menu’s were obviously closed) the waitress took the order and asked if we needed ‘drinks’ menu which should have been handed earlier already?

If you decide to book a table at this restaurant, I’d advise you not to be already hungry before going as you’ll have to sit and wait for at least 50 minutes before being offered anything edible! No welcome drinks or bites were included like any other Michlen star restaurant.

At first, they offered us the chef’s selection of bites which were ok, however I liked the olive tree with pistachio cream stuffed olives. We ordered ricotta cardamom risotto and pecorino truffle raviolo for first courses which were good. For second courses, we ordered the butter lobster and the lamb but they were below average (I mean you’d expect a better flavor when something is immersed with butter).

For dessert, we shared orange and sorbet salad which was refreshing, however the selection of desserts was a disaster specially the lemon tart which was too zesty and tasted like soap.

Finally, the ultimate disappointment was when we ordered Grappa as digestives and it was served in COGNAC GLASSES! This has unfortunately ruined the beautiful taste and scent of Grappa where the overwhelming spiritiness took over the aroma and the beautiful taste of grappa.

The question remains as to how this restaurant got a Michelin star in the first place?

Service was excellent, sommelier was knowledgeable and suggested an amazing wine. overall the food was innovative and we had an amazing experience. Totally within expectations and Worth it!

Sapio

Best pizza in the whole Sicily. Had been there 3 times in one week. The waiter was so amazing he even made up my wish about tartuffi pizza!

Decent pizzas but could be improved as some of them are very mild.
The main highlight is their pizza fritta: it is a dough ball that is fried and topped with ingredients. The dough has a donut like taste and coupled with good toppings, it taste great. A must try!

The best neapolitan pizza in Catania by far, spritz was on point. Pistacchio dessert  OMG, you have to try it. I would like to come back here

Dopo qualche giorno di mortorio serale ad Ortigia, mi sono deciso a spendere una serata a Catania, ed è stata una bellissima sorpresa!
Città vivissima, piena di gente. Un MUST per la vita notturna.

Merita certamente più tempo, anche perché è ricchissima...
