Playa de Ajuy

incredible place reminding you of the grand Canyon type of hike and landscape.

Ermita de la Peña

Very beautiful place! Please beware that it's not adapted to wheelchairs or strollers. I would also be scared to take here children below 6, but that's me. The views are spectacular. Some walking along the cliffs, which could be better protected.

The view is good. Too many people though considering the fact that the path is super narrow. And there is an unpleasant smell in the caves, like it is a toilet. The cutest part is ground squirrels, dozens of them, absolutely fearless, running back and forth and looking at people with curiosity.

As the place suggests caves, there are 2 side by side, accessible with a little climbing (nothing much).
From the car park there is a 25 to 30min walk, including some stairs.
Next to the car park a couple of bar/eateries. WC
The beach (which you have to cross) to access the walk to the cave is made of black sand.
The views are incredible.
Children can access, however, i would not recommend for toddlers, nor prams.
Cannot swim from the caves, only from the beach itself

Nice trail along the shore if you into running

Following the panoramic path you reach the caves.
The paths are suitable for everyone even if it is strongly recommended to keep children close as the path is overhanging the cliff.
It is possible to visit the caves for free. It is advisable to do it when there is low tide so as to visit them all.

Both the beach and the town are not worth too much. The beach is very similar to that of La Pared and Viejo Rey. And the town is 4 streets, yes, stuck on the beach. It is true that there is a contrast between the white houses and the black sand, but I did not like it too much. Keep in mind:
- It is easily reached.
- The viewpoint, the lime ovens, and the caves are worth it.
- The walls of the viewpoint attract attention because if those rocks were burned, they would turn into lime. There are signs not to tear off a piece and try it. Evidently.

If you have time, that's fine. If not, don't bother going.

Very (child-)friendly and caring staff. Great value for money and fresh seafood with a good wine offer. If you are lucky enough, you can get one of the tables on their terrace and enjoy the sunset as we did. Would go there again!

Our favorite meal on the island 🙌 Speedy, attentive, and friendly service, and the food was fresh and excellently prepared.

Absolutely delicious food with an amazing view in this beautiful place. Food was so fresh and made for the perfect lunch. Staff were attentive friendly and great with the kids. Highly recommend this place.
