The hotel is clean and not bad located, still a good 15-20’ walk to the Alcázar or the Cathedral. I liked the personnel, so nice and helpful. There are some issues, though; first the heat is almost unbearable in the city, and the AC of the hotel doesn’t keep up with it. There is also a regular breakfast with the most unsavoury orange juice in Andalucía, at 10€. The pool on the roof is small and the view au pair with the OJ. Parking is tricky, as anywhere in the old town. Still I do insist, the human quality of the people working there is exquisite.

The price-quality ratio is crazy unfair. The room with “window” that “offers view to an Andalusian patio” had window looking inside the hotel lobby! It was also super hot and the AC didn’t work, was blowing hot air even when set on -5c degrees. We tried to open the window to “the patio” (lobby) at night to get at least a gasp of fresh air but at 2am hotel staff was constantly doing something downstairs. To spend a night  there was hell for me personally. 120€ to suffer like that? Glad we spend another 2 nights next to the Cathedral in an apartment: same price, but much better conditions.

Fantastic customer service and the hotel and terrace are both very cute and well maintained. Highly recommend for solo travelers and families alike.

Hotel Museo Sevilla AACR

Amazing way to spend a day in Sevilla. The grounds are well kept, the history as rich as it gets and even the crowds seemed tolerable. The gardens were occupied with peacocks and other small animals and the ponds were filled with fish and ducks. Overall a nice refreshing visit to Ottoman influenced architecture while in Spain.

Tickets were available to purchase when we arrived. Our time to visit was just 40 minutes away so a walk around the church grounds was sufficient before lining up. We were able to enter 15 minutes before our assigned time so no need to wait the full wait time.

Bought tickets on line but very quiet the day I visited, so was able to walk straight in. Some stunning architecture; don't forget to look up and check out the beautifully ornate ceilings! One of the highlights for me was walking around the gardens. Free entry, but not until after 4pm, on a Monday; may try next time, but for a first visit, give yourself plenty of time to wander around leisurely. (I was there for nearly 4 hours - recommend you take drinks and snacks, to sit and enjoy in the gardens).

Beautiful. Old Islamic architecture has so much attention to the finer details. It is absolutely stunning.
We visited in July. It was too hot, temperatures were 49°C plus. We were not able to see all the gardens due to it being so hot. Would not recommend visiting in the summer months.
Plan on spending at least 3-4 hours just to look around. More if you would like to relax and appreciate the palace and gardens.

Alcázar di Siviglia

Nice neighborhood for a walk in Sevilla. A real tourist trap but also visited by the local Spanish people for a very late lunch ( 14.00hr - 16.00hr ) or an even later dinner ( 21.00hr - xx.xxhr ). You have to adapt your biorhythm coming from the North 😀

Very nice neighborhood. It is definitely a must to walk by. There are plenty of shops, cafes, and flamenco venues.

Barrio de Santa Cruz

A great find, a little pricey €10, but well worth it in my opinion. Some of the best and well preserved history in Seville. A grand house with panelling and ceramic tiles, a lush, but modest, garden and excellent ancient Roman and Greek statues. Well worth a visit. It will take you around 1-5 hours to complete the tour.

Beautiful palace in Sevilla. Make sure you download an audio guide and be prepared to spend at least couple of hours there. I promise you won’t want to leave before you have seen it all!
Collection of wall tiles is one of the best in the world. Lots of statues and artifacts from the Roman Empire. Gardens where you want to just sit down and contemplate.
Also make sure to book you visit to the upper floor in advance - it is impossible to get there without prior reservation

A renaissance gem of a palace that is loaded with Roman artifacts and statues. It has beautiful gardens and in many way ushered the renaissance into Spain. There are so many interesting things in this museum. You can use your phone as an audioguide and it really enhances the experience. You really cannot miss this palace during your visit.

Casa de Pilatos

Absolutely stunning. A must do when in Seville. Every corner reveals another amazing beautiful area. Gothic designs and lavish black and gold intricate carvings.

Christopher Columbus's tomb stands in prime position within a spectacular structure. Bell Tower is worth visiting for views.

Lovely peaceful atmosphere with plenty of seating to relax, prayer and take in the awe inspiring surroundings.

Many side doors leading to different rooms which can be easily missed.

Spent a wonderful five nights in Seville in October. Stunning weather 😎 with temperatures hitting 30C. We stayed at the ‘modern’ Hotel Rey Alfonso X within the historic city centre and simply walked every day. Photos simply don’t do the Cathedral justice it is magnificent. NB Ensure you book a ‘jump the queue’ tour to get most from your visit. NB Climb the tower 34 ramps plus 15 steps awesome views.

Absolutely loved the Cathedral. I went up to the top of Tower which has amazing views, it's 34 floors high so make sure it is something you can do before you start. The monuments, stain glass windows and the architecture are out of this world.  There are plenty of seats for you to sit and take everything in. You don't need to be religious to be taken In by the beauty or any of the interesting history this place holds.

Cattedrale di Siviglia

As i like to say, finish up from the cathedral then head up the tower for the dessert of the view! Keep in mind, it's 30-35 floors up on a ramp (not stairs) so be prepared for that. There are places to stop for a minute and catch your breath, though at the top, the view alone will take it all away again!

The cathedral on the other hard, like never seen before. Shockingly, when I first entered I thought this isn't what i expected, but when you walk in the main hall of the cathedral, you start to appreciate it quite nicely.

From entry point, all the way inside, keep an eye out on the tainted windows, the ceilings above you and the overall design of the place. Also, walk around in order and look at the beautifully designed walls, Columbus tomb and much more!

Always, book in advance your spots to avoid a line and waiting.

A cultural experience to behold, but bring your walking shoes!  You enter thru the cathedral and head up an incline that's about 30 stories.  It's a challenge but definitely worth the trek.   The gift shop does sell water at a very reasonable price, so don't be afraid to get a bottle before heading up.

The history, architecture, and views are a highlight of any trip.  You can see so much of Seville it's quite an experience!!!

MUST SEE ATTRACTION IN SEVILLA! Climb the tower ramps (not terribly steep but kind of long) to go to the top. The view is breathtaking. I dressed modestly (long pants, shirt with sleeves, and closed-toe shoes) due to other cathedrals I had been in, but many people were dressed in tank tops, shorts and dresses and had no problem.

Giralda

Cold beer fast! Waived down the busy waiter and ordered some amazing tapas. Exactly what we needed.

This bar has a nice terrace with cooling misters in the middle of Plaza Del Salvador. It’s a great place to have a drink and people watch, or take a break from the heat. We only had some cheese and olives so I can’t really judge the food, we drank two Vermouths, your typical drink pre-lunch in Spain.

Lovely spot to while away some time. Our waiter looked like he needed a hug, but we had a nice moment over Google Translate.

La Antigua Bodeguita

Beautiful location, great view from the top.
Lovely colours, enjoyed the video of the highlights in the city as it was our last day there - a nice end to the trip!
Take care if it has rained as the bridge is sloped in places and quite slippery.
It costs a little more at night but the lights look more spectacular so it depends on what view you would like.
Staff were lovely :)

Very cool architecture and landmark in Seville.
Was too late to get into the facility but was very exciting to see.  Provided nice shade from hot weather and pleasant to look at.

Updated: we came back for an evening in Seville and we're lucky enough to walk the top of the structure at sunset and shortly afterwards!  Talk about beauty in architecture and engineering!  Views for miles and the changing colors was incredible.  We stayed for a short movie that highlights the area and I really enjoyed.  I hope they offer a video on the construction of it as well, some day!

I came here in the morning and later in the evening for the light show. It’s an amazing wooden structure in Seville. With the rooftop walkway, you can have a panoramic view of Seville city. The light show wasn’t so incredible but still nice to see with a very light music playing. One small tip is to book your tickets beforehand, and choose the show time around 7pm to 7.30pm to enjoy the sunset (if you want to see sunset) and also the light show which costs just 8 euros. If you just want to see the light show at night then the ticket costs 10 euros. The light show will start at 8pm.

Metropol Parasol o Setas

A must-see if you are in Sevilla! The plaza itself is huge and airy and the giant curved building that surrounds it is stunning. The light at all times of day is quite a sight to see, and the intricate details within the architecture are nice. Sitting by the fountain on a hot evening is a wonderful way to cool off a bit. Highly recommended!

If you're in Sevilla, this is a place you've got to do on top of your bucket list. Literally, a beautiful park and plaza, to stroll around and walk, get a nice breather of fresh air.

The semi-circle curved building is absolutely stunning, well kept and has the best scenery you can imagine, just get a peak at the pictures!

Highly recommend coming here early in the morning when the weather is beautiful, the sun isn't too hot and there's perfect lighting to get the most out of it.

Once done from the Plaza, i would also recommend strolling through the park and heading out around. Perfect place, perfect view and unbelievably breath-taking.

This is a fantastic place. If the sun is shining and you have the time you certainly want to spend some time here and even come back a few times to relax and enjoy. Singles, couples, school kids, musicians, tourists, everybody loves this place, and it is for free.

In the morning it is quiet, late afternoon the sun gives it beautiful colors, in the evening with the lights it must also be nice. And the acoustic is great, so the musicians and dancers make it a lovely place.

Plaza de España

Place is well preserved. Apparently it is the biggest bull fighting arena in Spain still being used. The season last from April till October. Tickets for the “show” range from 30 to 130 euros, depending on the seat and the toreador (more famous means higher price). Tours are guided. One may learn a lot. But of course for animal loving people like us it was - mildly put - strange experience.

A ‘must visit’ whilst in Seville even if no interest or abhorrent to bull fighting as it is part of Spanish history. The oldest bullring in Spain 🇪🇸, a magical structure. Goya paintings on display (lost his close friend in a bull fight) . Very interesting.

Really cool experience to be able to walk through the entire area and then sit in the seating area. First time experiencing this and really enjoyed it. It was 10 euro a person to spend as much time as you wanted walking through. A lot of history in the museum areas in side and I am really happy we checked it out.

I loved this area and bridge so much ! We ate dinner at La Salina and took at River boat cruise. It was so hot out but we enjoyed the view so much !!!
