Nice for what you pay for. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are old but clean.  Satisfactory for what you pay for it. There is a shortage of utensils in kitchen but manageable. Location is walkable to the centre. I'll recommend to anyone on tight budget!

It was a terrible experience. With construction works noises from 8 o'clock, sleeping became impossible. Cleaning lady would also do a lot of noise about that time (taking into account how difficult is to start sleeping in from people abroad in a constant daylight time). Neither courtains did any job, the room remained enlightened all night time long. The fact that there was only one toilet for ALL the floor did not help as it was usually a queue to use it. All terrible as there was nobody attending who could offer any solutions.

The Guesthouse is located in a good position within walking distance of the main city attractions. The place was clean both the room and common Wc and bathrooms. The rooms are old with really poor sound insulation, that made our staying unpleasure, both because of sounds comming from outside and inside the building. Also the uppsend of ventilation in the rooms made the living environment really uncomfortable.

Guesthouse Pavi

Very relaxing place with hot baths and one steam sauna. No dry sauna unfortunately. Mainly for local people but travelers can enjoy it as well as long as you have a bathing suit and a towel.

There are swimming pools, a slide, high enough to have fun for an adult, hot (not hot, warm, 40-48c) a stem sauna, allitle more than 40c, but the sauna is good. Everyone is having a great time. Staff is professional.
Better bring own towel and underwear, costs more that entry.

On the top of my Reykjavik pool list until something else unseats this gem. City views from the lap pool and one of the hot pots, love the inter-connectedness of it, great for kids and adults alike. Check it out!

2022.09 I won’t say they are the best, but they are good.  I spot 2 different from their hot dog. 1) their sauce, there is a light brown sauce, can’t tell what it is, they a also have honey mustard, and raw onion.  2) the hot dog itself is not salty, not like other beef sausage . local currency 400 each, a very reasonable amount.

It's an ok hot dog. Not something really special or something. The price is good for the rest of the Iceland I would say. Worth a try but just in case you have nothing else to eat from the local restaurants.

Very tasty meat whistle. Nice and crispy. Awesome location & service. Personally did not like the sauces. A little too sweet for my liking, but just my preference. Glad we tried them. Cheap snack compared to all other food in Reykjavik. Have to say the two preparing the dogs were pleasant, speedy and helpful. You’ve got to give props to a local legendary operation and institution!

Our tour guide (Thomas) was super informative and showed us quite a bit. The weather was quite terrible - pouring rain and really cold - so that was pretty distracting, but the guide did everything he could to stop in dry areas and keep us entertained and laughing so we didn’t focus as much on the weather.

Just the walking tour we were hoping for. Informative, yet hilarious commentary that was just the right distance and length of time. "Eh" was great.

Great way to get acquainted with the city and the people!
Our guide, Þorhullur, is a stand-up comedian and it showed! The walk was hilarious!
I can also highly recommend signing up for their free guide of Iceland on their website (a bit tricky to find).
