Nice for what you pay for. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are old but clean.  Satisfactory for what you pay for it. There is a shortage of utensils in kitchen but manageable. Location is walkable to the centre. I'll recommend to anyone on tight budget!

It was a terrible experience. With construction works noises from 8 o'clock, sleeping became impossible. Cleaning lady would also do a lot of noise about that time (taking into account how difficult is to start sleeping in from people abroad in a constant daylight time). Neither courtains did any job, the room remained enlightened all night time long. The fact that there was only one toilet for ALL the floor did not help as it was usually a queue to use it. All terrible as there was nobody attending who could offer any solutions.

The Guesthouse is located in a good position within walking distance of the main city attractions. The place was clean both the room and common Wc and bathrooms. The rooms are old with really poor sound insulation, that made our staying unpleasure, both because of sounds comming from outside and inside the building. Also the uppsend of ventilation in the rooms made the living environment really uncomfortable.

Innovative dishes with tomato - tomato cheesecake and tomato beer! Besides these there was tomato soup with unlimited bread which was fresh and amazing. Lots of variety. Butter was great as well.
As you dine, you'll be seated right in the greenhouse where the tomato vines are growing. Unique and awesome experience!

It was a fun and unique experience however my friend and I thought the food was very bland. We had the pizza and ravioli. I definitely recommend stopping here while driving the golden circle (after seeing the geysers), you can grab a cup of tomato soup and a loaf of bread at the super cute bar area.

So amazing! We loved the atmosphere as well as the food. My husband and I don't care for tomatoe soup but theirs I could eat everyday! So very good- we will be returning on our next trip!

If you have not witnessed a geyser eruption, definitely add this to your itinerary! Multiple geothermal points of interest. Strokkur erupts every 5-10 minutes at varying degrees of power. A few times it went off every 3 minutes. Two parking lots provide plenty of space and parking is free. Lot of tourists but not overwhelming.

One of the most touristic places in Iceland. Its a nice contribution to the Golden Circle but a bit too touristic if you ask me. The geysers are nice but the climb up is better. You get a beautifull view of the area

Amazing to see at part of the Golden circle tour, make sure you see all the geysers on the area which would take about an hour as you have to wait 5-10 mins on strokkur to make an eruption each time. Some are higher than others

Geysir Hot Springs

My first time seeing a waterfall and this one was absolutely breath taking, the surroundings were unbelievable and with the weather being perfect it made it extra special. There a couple of walks to see the different angles of the waterfalls. I recommend doing them! The staff in the shop/cafe are very polite and helpful. Parking is free and easy access to toilets.
What an amazing place to visit. Put it on your bucket list!!!!!

Breathtaking waterfall to visit with tons of areas to walk around to view it!  I went here directly after an overnight flight in the winter and it was sleeting. This day was super cold as it was hard to stay dry but 100% worth getting out to explore the falls.

This was AMAZING. A must see in Iceland. The power and majesty was incredible. Rainbows were there today with the great sunlight. Super cool to walk down to the edge close to the falls and feel the power and rushing water. The gorge views are epic with the green and black contrast. Thank goodness they stopped this from being a power plant in the early 1900s. Such willpower and foresight and respect, now we can enjoy true nature undefiled!!!!!

Gullfoss Waterfall lookout

This was a lovely little stop just off the road. We were there on a beautiful, sunny day and it wasn’t nearly as crowded as the waterfalls in the area. My husband and I walked around the rim at the top and around the lake at the bottom. If you have to choose, I would do the rim walk as it gives better views and the colors can look different depending on where the lighting is. You do have to pay to see it, although it is not a lot.

The Keri’s crater is a collapsed volcano. It is quite beautiful and worth the hike down. It has numerous attractive plants flowers and vegetation to see at all levels.
Pro-tip west hiking boots the path can be slippery. Try to take photos from all angles.

Absolutely amazing crater. The water is a pretty green color, and you can walk down and walk around or stay above and walk around. I recommend making the trip to go down. You can see the beautiful water color. It's 500 isks per person to see it.

Kerið

I visited this place many times,but it not get boring, the view seems all the time different. Very historical place, there as well is possibility snorkel and water is only 2⁰C ( for that you need to book the tour ) . And this is the magical place where you can walk between two tectonic plates.

This is a stunning park on the golden circle. The advantage is that it is on a large scale so handles the crowds quite well. There are well marked trails taking in the sites.
These range from clear steams to waterfalls, rapids and cascades.
Tgere are also historic buildings and churches. Easily enough for a couple of hours.
There is ample parking that whilst it is charged for covers all car parks in the park.

We parked in P5 and walked to see these rocks and also the water.
These rocks were really cool, and you can walk on the path for a long time. It's not a difficult hike so it's a nice stroll. There's a mini cafe/info center at the top, and it's very serene.
People were diving. The water is about 2 degrees Celsius, and you can rent a wet suit and see under the water. The water is extremely clear, and I believe the guides take pictures of you. If I go back, intend to dive with a guide.
