Cons: There is no elevator here!, they have 6 floors total, and the water pressure is very weak, the sink drain slowly, the bathroom door is hard to close.
(After staying for 3 days we were finally able to changed the room to 3rd floor, which have better water pressure and only 3 floors to climb so I'm changing my review to 4 stars)
For 2 stars hotel I'm a bit disappointed. 😔
The pros: good location, have Laundry service 40k per kilo, bike rental 150k per day, friendly receptionist 😊.
Good location and pretty quiet in the room

In this Hotel actually works the best receptionist i have met so far.
She is called Ngau and you can trust me when i say that you are going to feel very welcome just because of her friendliness and helpfulness.
The Rooms are clean and for that price you will probably never finde a better deal.
Exceptional!

6 floors without elevator and very old rooms (but everywhere in this corner of the city).
In front of the hotel we had all night a singing old man.
Service was very friendly and good!

Wanted a tattoo and thought it would be great for my first time in Vietnam and Hanoi.

Wanted to celebrate the year of the dragon while here.

All equipment was sanitary, and I watched as all the needles came from new packages and used eternal inks that are quality lab tested and sanitary.

Diep and Lu are  very friendly and professional, and I couldn't be happier with his work!

Thu Minh and the tattoo artist was very accommodating to us! The speed was fast with our request and communication was very easy :) they also accept cards for tourists’ convenience. A fantastic experience for me and my girlfriend. Tattoo itself was clean and sharp, that even went to the beach the next day and it still looks new till now! Tattoo date: Mar 25, 2024

This is probably one of my favorite locations around Hanoi as you get a real feel for the hustle and bustle of the city from within the Old Quarter.  You get to see every age of Vietnamese at work and play and feel the real vibe of a busy city.  The old quarter takes you back in time to how life was, and still is, for many with shoppers and traders and eaters all competing for tiny spaces on streets.  Within this you also get to visit Train Street to see one of the most iconic and memorable views of the middle of Hanoi - by far this was my favorite afternoon to sit and watch the train go by within mm of your nose!!  A beautiful city full of hard working, wonderful people who live life on a dime but do it with a big smile, welcome and engaging personality that makes you feel both welcome and respected!! I love Hanoi!

Hanoi Old Quarter is the heart of the city which Is a very happening area and where you can find several eateries, many famous cafes etc.
I enjoyed the vibes of the Hanoi City, especially in this area. Had a wonderful food and shopping experience here and the best part is that the people are very kind, friendly and welcoming even though there was a language barrier.

Hanoi Old Quarter is the heart of the city's nightlife. During the day, it's a bustling marketplace with shops selling souvenirs, clothing, and food. On weekends, the streets are closed to traffic and even more vendors come out to sell their wares.

Nice place for stay and walking around.

Hanoi Old Quarter

The most important place in Hanoi Vietnam. Been here at Weekends, packed with people (local or foreigner). Queue for around 2 hours to get inside mausoleum. Worth to visit anyways.

Before entering the compound, visitors must pass through a security check, adding to the sense of reverence and respect surrounding the site.

Once inside, the grandeur of Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and its surrounding gardens provide a solemn yet insightful experience. The grand structure and preserved body of Ho Chi Minh command reverence, surrounded by beautiful gardens and historical monuments.
It's a must-visit for anyone interested in Vietnam's rich history and the legacy of its iconic leader

Do arrive as early as you can as it gets very crowded with students and locals.
You will need to go through screening like in the airport security. You will have to surrender water bottles or any water containers. You will have to surrender your camera just before the mausoleum and bags at the entrance but allow you to bring in your cell phone. The security will remind you not to use your cell.
You will form in 2 lines and need to be quiet when going into the mausoleum. It's takes less than 3 mins inside, and you are out.
After existing, follow the signage to collect your camera just behind the mausoleum and your bags at the same entrance you enter. The mausoleum closed at 11 am. Not sure if it's open in the afternoon

If you visit, skip the tour/night tour and just self-guide. An interesting place but you'll get much more from the information panels as much of the tour was not in English, despite booking for it. This would allow you to go at your own pace, focus on what interests you and not miss things/spend too long on the parts that are of less interest.

Had a great time visiting this place – it’s like an Easter egg hunt, but for adults! Allocate at least an hour and a half to discover all the hidden gems. Just a heads up, it costs 70k to get in, and don’t trust Google Maps on this one – the real entrance is playing hide and seek and it’s 250 meters closer than shown on Maps.

Interesting place with some great bits of archaeological stuff and rich history. Was only in Hanoi for 2 days but made sure to visit this UNESCO world heritage site out as advised by a friend and glad I made the effort to check it out

Imperial Citadel of Thang Long

This is another beautiful temple in Hanoi. It is definitely worth a visit but be aware that because of its location in the heart of the old quarter it is extremely busy all day long. You can easily find other temples close by which is equally as beautiful but much less crowded.

Ngoc Son Temple is famous for its authentic red bridge.  Located in the middle of the old quarter, it's very easy to get here.  just walk 😁 many tourists take photos because the temple is beautiful and aesthetic.

A must visit if you're in the area of the lake. Accessed via an attractive red wooden bridge, the island temple is home to a number of historic relics. You can't take photos inside the main temple building but fine to do elsewhere. There is an exhibition of photos in front of the temple entrance describing some of it's history. There is also a room featuring two preserved specimens of the rare and almost extinct Sword Lake turtle.
