The museum takes you through an audio tour of the house where the Frank family lived for two years and Ann wrote her diary. Definitely book online in advance. The cloakroom is free so Definitely put your coat and bags in as the staircases are steep and narrow. The electronic audio guide is free and in eight different languages. A must visit in Amsterdam.

What an incredible story of survival. The words of a young girl who carried the world. I’m not going post the exhibit photos. It wouldn’t be fathomable to tell here. After the tour, there is a full coffee bar and book shop. For a child who longed for the sun and window with a view. This inclusive audio tour finishes in a wonderful view on the city.

I checked two carry on sized bags at not cost, but they are subject to security check. Staff was very professional and multilingual. Please plan your tickets in advance to this unique exhibit. Then make your way the Spinoza statue, the Jewish Ghetto , and the Theater to learn about the human experiences of the Holocaust.

Please don’t be alarmed by the extra security around the building. The rise of antisemitism is ever present. Be mindful and vigilant.

Really well-curated and well-maintained museum that tugs at your heartstrings while also being extremely educational. There's an audio guide provided, which really helps to immerse you in the history of the place. Definitely a must-visit when you're in Amsterdam and worth booking well in advance, especially during peak seasons. We went in February so tickets were not as in-demand, and we were able to get tickets within a week before going.

Great idea. Basically, it's a giant pub/restaurant except it's a food hall.
Good selection of offerings for meat lovers and vegans alike.
I went on a Friday night, and the atmosphere was upbeat and friendly.
Most of the food stalls start to close up around 9pm, although a few seem to keep going depending on demand.
Drinks around €4.50 for a beer and €9 for a cocktail.

Great place to have lunch or dinner, especially when you want to try different things and types of cuisines. It's also good when it's rainy and you are looking for a sheltered venue.
It reminds us of London food markets! We highly recommend on the noodles and Vietnamese stands!

Really busy food market, but definitely worth a visit. Lots of cool eateries, food truck style in a way, so you cans try many different and quite flavorful and interesting dishes from the world cuisine. It’s well organized, and the ordering etc was seamless.

Overall it was a nice experience, yet I was expecting more! I was mostly attracted to Banksy’s art.
The exhibition is extended in 3 floors including the ground floor.
In the basement there are some rooms with lights which were very fun to experience.
Basement would be the last  floor to visit as from there you can exit to the museum yard.
It is a nice experience, price ticket is not high and the audio touring is included in the price.

Great museum. A jewel. A good place to get an introduction to contemporary art. I really enjoy the variety of exhibits and the very high quality of art that it on display. It is quite a friendly and compact place and they use every space and stair case to show the art in unique settings.

Must visit it with a very open mind.
Unfortunately the audio tour doesn't offer much. The place gets crowded easily, I believe they should reduce the number of visitors inside so you can better enjoy the art.
It's a very good experience for the kids as it opens them up to more artistic possibilities and creativity, as well as social/political activism. The high points go to the element of the museum.

Moco Museum

Such a beautiful & stunning Synagogue 🕍.
It's so majestic and spiritual.
I had 30 min just for my self to admire this amazing building. If you 're visit Amsterdam make sure you go there.  ( easy to get there with tram from Central Station or just walk)

Beautiful synagogue that is still functioning, although it is also a historic site as well. The architecture is beautiful, and the place is very special, highly recommend the visit, and spending some quiet time, listening to the audio tours.

It is still a candlelit synagogue, no heating system and no electricity—perhaps a reflection of today’s Jewish community in Amsterdam? Anyway, it fits into the imagination of the congregation that excommunicated Spinoza and humiliated Da Costa. It carries an entrance fee of 18 Euros, which is valid for one-month and also for the Jewish museum across the street.

Portuguese Synagogue of Amsterdam

We visited on a weekday and early (7-8pm) it was pretty empty. Shops start to open after 8 so I'd recommend going later. Overall clean, strong smell of weed and people smoking in bars.

One of my favourite places in Europe. So atmospheric, so beautiful and so much to explore. No matter if you are 18 or 80, you just need to visit Red Light District at least once in your life. Unforgettable memories!

Still worth a walk though scenery has changed a lot. There is a whole street with just bulldog branded shops and most of the windows are empty or have been removed. It also feels like there is much more traffic on these small streets. Maybe because the amount of people was much lower than during the last visits.

Coming from the U.S. we don't have as much art as in Europe. This experience was fantastic. In a solo trip I was able to walk through the entire museum. One day is not enough. I love Dutch and Flemish art. They have highly skilled artists (more than the German, the British, the Spanish, and even in my opinion also better than the French and the Italians.  I'd love to visit again and slowly melt away in the beauty of Dutch Art.

Wow!  I needed lots and lots of time to go through this amazing art museum!!  I recommend getting tickets on line.  Lots of greats are on display!  So many great works that I need to go back and spend another day!  Great audio tour!  Bring your headphones so you can listen in on your personal phone!

Probably the best museum in Amsterdam.  Clearly the most famous paintings are in the gallery of honor, but we saw lots of other interesting works. There are audio guides that allow you to do just the highlights or to type in a number in front of a picture. We spent about three hours here and could have spent more.  Definitely recommend.

A visit of a lifetime. The whole experience visiting Van Goh museum was exceptional.  The museum itself is big enough to accommodate a big crowd.  Purchasing tickets is ideal, this gives you a quick pass at the entrance. Audio guide is included for free, I suggest that you should have this during your tour as it is a very nice tool to really understand what you are looking at.  So much stories to tell from the Audio guide.  The main lobby is so big and airy.  Lockers are available for your large items / back packs.  2 boutiques are available and also small coffee shop.  There are few benches inside the exhibition so you can relax and sit and enjoy listening to your audio guide. We arrived in the morning slot, therefore there’s not much of crowd.  We took public transit to go there.  Get ready your feet, as there are several floor levels for you to explore. Nice comfy shoes is  recommended. Very impressive museum.

This is by far for me the most beautiful and interesting museum i have ever been in my life. Amazing design, top of the art paintings, polite personnel that lets you take pictures. Keep in mind that you have to book your visit in advance. Amazing experience! I definitely recommend this place while you visit Amsterdam.

Absolutely stunning collection, beautifully displayed and a very informative audio guide. You really feel like walking across Van Gogh's life. There was a queue even though we had booked out tickets online before hand but it was moving relatively quick. Buy your tickets in advance because it's almost always sold out!

Van Gogh Museum

Beautiful spot of greenery in the midst of the city. Lovely lakes and features. Great to walk around or to sit down and take in the scenery. Perfect for a picnic on a warm day. Wide obvious paths and lovely ducks about in the water too.

Wonderful place to walk and empty your mind.
Animals are together with humans, good vibes and nature.
With the sun, you can have a rest and decompress totally

Best park to go if you are around the center of Amsterdam. Great variety of animals, long paths for bikes to ride in the nature. Plenty of nice spots to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Also great lives during summer weekends with plenty of people until evening. Absolutely a must go if you happen to be in Amsterdam.

Vondelpark

The best Apple pie ever! It was good in 2017, and tastes even better in 2022! The service is great, people can easily support you in English. The menu is short and simple, bar style, but none in English (Google translator app helps a lot with the camera features). I had great nachos with G&T followed by the apple pie with flat coffee. There are tables both inside and outside.

It’s no exaggeration to say this is the best apple pie in Amsterdam (if not, the world!). The centre is warm, oozing with apple and cinnamon flavors while the crust is crumbly, addictive, flavorful. A dollop of cream on top brings a touch of lightness and sweetness to the overall dessert. One is simply not enough. Complement it with either a beer on tap or coffee - perfect combination.

Great Dutch apple pie! I came here after reading online they had the best apple pie in Amsterdam and I didn’t leave disappointed. It was delicious, sided with whipped cream. There was a queue to be seated but it went quickly and smoothly.

The apple pie was warm and the whipped cream was well balanced, not to sweet.

Staff is very friendly.
