We recently stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in March 2023.
My partner and I had previously visited Budapest and this time we wanted to stay in a very central location. We were not disappointed with the hotel's location, which was situated between St. Stephen's Basilica and the Hungarian Parliament.

The area around the hotel is undergoing beautiful modernization, and we found ourselves surrounded by restaurants and coffee shops, as well as being close to central shopping streets, opera, and theaters. We were also happy with the value that the hotel offered, especially after comparing it to other hotels in the same area where our friends were staying.

The hotel itself is very modern and our room was comfortable and smartly designed, providing us with ample space and facilities. However, our main disappointment was the lack of coffee-making facilities in the room. We are addicted to coffee and would have preferred the convenience of being able to make coffee in our room at all hours. Although coffee was available at the hub (lobby) at a low price, it was not as convenient as having it in our room. Additionally, the pillows provided were uncomfortable on the necks as they had no volume. Unfortunately, the first night was fully booked and we could not get additional pillows. However, the issue was resolved the following day.

Despite these minor issues, we thoroughly enjoyed the hotel's breakfast, which offered a great variety of food every day. Even though the offerings were practically the same each day, we still enjoyed it. Despite the hotel being full, it still felt relaxed, and we would definitely be happy to return to this hotel in the future, as long as the pricing level is maintained.

Very nice rooms and location. We stayed 4 days and we didn't need to take any transport to move.
The rooms are very nice and clean.
The breakfast is incredibly good, both in variety and quality.

I only found 3 drawbacks:
1. They don't offer any slippers in the rooms.
2. The pillows are very very soft and become thin when sleeping. They don't offer other choices.
3. Because of pillows being very soft, I asked for second pillow and only got it after requesting it 3 times.

Great location,  near both Christmas markets and shopping street. The room is very modern which is what most people want, But no way of making a drink which is very poor in today's world, and no Ironing board or Iron.   Breakfast was decent enough lots of choice. The place is new and modern

H2 Hotel Budapest

I was a little worried about the weather as it rained the night before but the sun stood strong and we were graced with a beautiful view of the city.

Entrance to the museum was free due to the public holiday and going up to the top of the tower was not a long wait either
once we got to the top we were definitely not disappointed.
You do have to be prepared to leave any large bags and coats behind in a free cloakroom. There was about 2/3 minute queue for this. They do allow you to take your phone up through the museum.

It may have been because of the public holiday that we were also graced with seeing a short parade outside the main entrance - which was fun and then they stopped for a photo shoot!

There are two lifts that will take you up from the bottom to the top which is great for those who are hard of walking or with young families. There was hardly any queue for this. That also steps that can take you up.

There are some construction work going on, but this does not take away from any of experience.

Definitely worth coming out to see this.

We did not buy any food/drinks- so cannot comment on this

Lovely castle and a most see tourist attraction.
Offering a great panoramic view of Budapest from multiple viewing points.
Explore the premises and enjoy the architecture, sculptures and lively garden.
You can visit the castle grounds throughout the week at all times, without a ticket.
The national gallery and the historic museum have their opening hours and you need to purchase individual ticket for each.

Absolutely amazing experience. Something very unique in Europe. You must visit during day and night to appreciate the beauty and views. Very well renovated and maintained castle. Had the opportunity to visiting during Xmas. Beautifully lighted Budapest. Kudos to whoever in charge!

Buda Castle

It's like a dream😴💭. Amazing beauty. The best place after Hungarian Parliament is the Fisherman's Bastion. Free. No charges. You can have a great view   of Danube & Budapest. Great place to click photos not only of views but also of yours. Loved. Nearby good eating joints. Spend at least half day here.

Absolutely stunning location, the highlight of our visit to Budapest. Most of the site is free, but for a small fee you can walk along the ramparts and take pictures away from the bulk of the crowds, which I would definitely recommend. The view is also lovely but the architecture is truly spectacular and it was hard to tear myself away from it!

Amazing place, beautiful architecture. Fisherman's Bastion you can visit all for free. No charges. A great view of river Danube and Budapest is given from here. Nearby are good eating joints, places for coffee, you can spend whole day here.
You will enjoy in every corner of this beautiful Bastion.

I'm absolutely in love with this place. Such an awesome concept. It is great for group of friends that like different kind of food or for indecisive people so they can decide on spot 😂. From Mexican over traditional Hungarian to vegan food. Atmosphere is very pleasant

Really cool area. There are 6-8 restaurants or so and then some places to get a drink. Lots of tables, both standing and sitting, to enjoy your food. Most places now accept credit cards (I saw previous reviews mentioned that it was mostly cash only, I’m guessing this has changed). I got Mexican food and a smoothie from two different places and they were both solid tasting and not too expensive (at least by American standards).

Among the places with the coolest and tastiest food trucks I've been to in the world.  A wide and very tasty variety of options.  Really cool atmosphere and just fun to sit there

Yes, this architectural jewel is just as majestic as you have heard. The unique bridge that connects Buda and Pest is a must for photos and walks. The feeling of walking on something like that is amazing. Of course, don't forget to see it at night. It's great!

One of the most unique and beautiful bridges I have seen. It is undoubtedly an architectural marvel. This bridge connects buda and pest and is a treat for eyes. The night view is just as beautiful as the day. Great to take photos too.

Széchenyi Chain Bridge

I recently had the pleasure of dining with my family at The Magic restaurant in Budapest, and it was truly a magical experience. The restaurant is decorated in the style of Harry Potter, which adds an extra layer of charm to the dining experience.

For our meal, we ordered the mini burgers and the chicken breast with almonds. The mini burgers were absolutely delicious, with perfectly cooked patties and fresh toppings. The chicken breast was also excellent, with a crispy exterior and tender, juicy meat. The almonds added a nice crunch and a subtle nuttiness to the dish.

But the true star of the show was the magical waffles. They were light and fluffy, with a hint of sweetness and a magical touch that made them truly unforgettable. We couldn't get enough of them and ended up ordering a second serving to share.

Overall, our experience at The Magic was wonderful. The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was enchanting. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Budapest who wants to experience a little bit of magic with their meal.

This is a truly magical place. Very nicely decorated in true Harry Potter style, including the menu. Congratulations on the style and good taste. I recommend even during the week to make a reservation. The waiters are friendly and attentive. The food is not as good as the atmosphere. My English breakfast, came with beans and cold sausages. I ordered a bacon omelet which apparently didn't look good. Anyway, it's worth knowing for the environment. The price is honest compared to other Kávézó in the city.

The best experience ever! Everything was so nice! The decorations and atmosphere were so cool! Delicious food and amazing service! If you’re going to Budapest, and you’re a fan of the Harry Potter world, definitely make time (and reservations as it’s at busy place, quite understandable) to come visit! 🥰
