Great hotel, located only 8 minute walk from the central market and train station. The beds and pillows are comfortable. They offer a breakfast buffet which has a little bit of everything. The temperature in the room was nice and wait staff are friendly, providing excellent service. Would stay here again.

We stayed here back in October with our two under 3 toddlers. The stay was amazing. The room was clean and the hotel staff were so friendly with us and our children. The restaurant staff, Abegail and Francesco, were the highlight of our stay. They understood the difficulty of travelling with two small kids and went above and beyond to help us with any requests we had. Francesco entertained our little ones while working and was so kind. The staff is great. The food was delicious. They had lots to choose from. Would stay here again.

Very nice hotel that while a bit far from city center it does offer affordable rates, parking, and a great breakfast.

Walk time to city center = 30-35min

Rooms are reasonably sized, clean, and offer king beds

Service is very good

Parking is available across the street and must either be pre-paid at the machine or download the easy park app

The area is business park

Local dining is very good and very affordable but not “cheap”

La particolarità è che di questo palazzo ne esistono altre 12 copie identiche sparse per il mondo.
Stretta tra altri edifici questa casa è caratterizzata da mattoni rossi e tre guglie.
La storia di questo particolare casa di Milano nasce a Brooklyn quando un rabbino in fuga dai nazisti ne costruì una identica con lo stesso nome. In seguito quella casa al 770 di Eastern Parkway divenne centro di incontro delle comunità Chabad e luogo simbolo per la comunità ebraica tanto che diversi membri decisero di creare delle copie in altre città.
Infatti oltre alla copia milanese ne esistono altre 11 in New Jersey, Cleveland, Los Angeles, Canada, Israele, Tel Aviv, Brasile, Argentina, Australia, Cile, Ucraina

Comparsa dal nulla qualche anno fa, questa casa è davvero speciale perché è dipinta con uno degli scatti più famosi di Toiletpaper Magazine che proprio qui ha la sua sede. Neanche a dirlo, è diventata immediatamente uno dei luoghi di Milano più cercati. Si trova a Città Studi e fortunatamente le macchine non possono parcheggiarsi davanti la casa, permettendoci di vederla in tutto il suo splendore.

zona San Siro trovi una casa misteriosa di Milano, fiabesca ma dalla storia un po’ ambigua.
Passeggiando tra le tante villette del quartiere ti balzerà all’occhio questa estrosa villa degli anni Novanta che ricorda le case tipiche delle favole dei Fratelli Grimm.

Sai che tra i palazzi di una Milano segreta esiste una casa con un orecchio? 
In pochi conoscono questo angolo nascosto di Milano e ancora meno sanno che quell’orecchio è stato il primo citofono d’Italia.
Per vederlo devi raggiungere Palazzo Sola-Busca, più comunemente chiamato Casa dell’Orecchio.

🛖 Casa Palafitta

Se cerchi una Milano dalle tonalità vivaci devi raggiungere Via Lincoln, la via più colorata della città.  Girando per il quartiere ti sembrerà di essere catapultato in una piccola Burano.
Gli abitanti di questa via competono tra loro a suon di pennelli e vernici. Trovi deliziose villette dalle tonalità pastello con fiori sulle facciate.

All’incrocio tra viale Berengario e via Benedetto Brin, nell’area di CityLife, passeggiando per gli edifici residenziali signorili della zona, si può trovare un castello di carte perfettamente instagrammabile.

Non molti conoscono questo posto, tanto che quando i passanti lo vedono suscita un’improvvisa curiosità, quasi spaesamento.

Anche Milano ha il suo giardino dove scorrazzano incontrastati una decina di fenicotteri rosa. Per ammirarli devi raggiungere Villa Invernizzi nel Quadrilatero del Silenzio di Milano. La villa è privata quindi non è possibile visitare gli interni ma li puoi vedere bene anche dai cancelli.

Un affresco davvero singolare è rintracciabile nella Cappella Portinari: sulla parete sud, infatti, è raffigurata una Madonna con le corna. Più che un blasfemo, l’affresco di Vincenzo Foppa, intitolato Il miracolo della falsa Madonna, illustra una leggenda legata alla figura di San Pietro da Verona, al secolo Pietro Rosini; figura a cui è dedicata la cappella voluta dal banchiere fiorentino Pigello Portinari (1421-1468).

Tra le cose insolite da vedere a Milano non poteva mancare San Bernardino alle Ossa. In realtà questo luogo poco conosciuto è anche un po’ macabro ed inquietante.
Si tratta di una chiesa che contiene un ossario le cui pareti sono decorate da centinaia di teschi e ossa umani. Omeri, tibie, teschi e femori si alternano perfettamente con eleganti decorazioni roccocò.

Tra le case più curiose di Milano impossibile non citare le case a forma di igloo progettate negli anni ’40 dall’ingegner Mario Cavallè.
Ne hai mai sentito parlare?
L’idea è nata ispirandosi a tecniche di costruzione americane. Edificate con mattoni rossi misurano tutte 45 metri quadri con ingresso, bagno, camera e cucina distribuite su due piani.
In origine erano 12 le case igloo, ma oggi ne sono rimaste solo 8. Ancora più originali erano le due case a fungo di Milano, ma che adesso non sono più visibili.

Vicino a San Babila in Largo Corsia Dei Servi, si apre un passage couvert buio e lasciato al degrado che riserva però una sorpresa; si tratta della Walk of Fame milanese!

Nasce negli anni ’90 sulla scia del successo dei Telegatti (ve li ricordate gli Oscar della tv?),

in questa galleria aveva infatti sede il settimanale Tv Sorrisi e Canzoni, ideatore del programma.

Se vi trovate a passare di lì per caso per andare verso corso Europa, forse non ve ne accorgerete nemmeno, ma sotto ai vostri piedi ci sono delle grandi formelle con le impronte dei vips di quegli anni;

LA LOMBARDIA CHE NON CONOSCI: Milano prima tappa

The peculiarity is that there are 12 other identical copies of this building scattered around the world.
Squeezed between other buildings this house features red brick and three spires.
The story of this particular house in Milan began in Brooklyn when a rabbi fleeing the Nazis built an identical one with the same name. Later that house at 770 Eastern Parkway became a meeting center for the Chabad community and a symbolic place for the Jewish community, so much so that several members decided to create copies in other cities.
In fact, in addition to the Milanese copy, there are 11 others in New Jersey, Cleveland, Los Angeles, Canada, Israel, Tel Aviv, Brazil, Argentina, Australia, Chile, Ukraine

Appearing out of nowhere a few years ago, this house is truly special because it is painted with one of the most famous shots of Toiletpaper Magazine which has its headquarters right here. Needless to say, it immediately became one of the most sought-after places in Milan. It is located in Città Studi and fortunately cars cannot park in front of the house, allowing us to see it in all its splendour.

San Siro area you will find a mysterious house in Milan, fairytale but with a slightly ambiguous story.
Walking among the many houses in the neighborhood, this whimsical 1990s villa that recalls the typical houses of the Grimm Brothers fairy tales will catch your eye.

Do you know that among the palaces of a secret Milan there is a house with an ear?
Few know this hidden corner of Milan and even fewer know that that ear was the first intercom in Italy.
To see it you have to go to Palazzo Sola-Busca, more commonly called Casa dell'Orecchio.

🛖 Stilt House

If you are looking for a brightly colored Milan, you must reach Via Lincoln, the most colorful street in the city. Wandering around the neighborhood you will feel like you have been catapulted into a small Burano.
The inhabitants of this street compete with each other with brushes and paints. You will find delightful villas in pastel shades with flowers on the facades.

At the crossroads between viale Berengario and via Benedetto Brin, in the CityLife area, walking through the elegant residential buildings of the area, you can find a perfectly instagrammable house of cards.

Not many know this place, so much so that when passers-by see it, it arouses a sudden curiosity, almost disorientation.

Milan also has its garden where a dozen pink flamingos roam unchallenged. To admire them you must reach Villa Invernizzi in the Quadrilatero del Silenzio in Milan. The villa is private so it is not possible to visit the interiors but you can also see them clearly from the gates.

A truly singular fresco can be found in the Portinari Chapel: on the south wall, in fact, a Madonna with horns is depicted. More than a blasphemous, the fresco by Vincenzo Foppa, entitled The miracle of the false Madonna, illustrates a legend linked to the figure of St. Peter of Verona, born Pietro Rosini; figure to whom the chapel commissioned by the Florentine banker Pigello Portinari (1421-1468) is dedicated.

Among the unusual things to see in Milan, San Bernardino alle Ossa could not be missing. In reality, this little-known place is also a bit macabre and disturbing.
It is a church that contains an ossuary whose walls are decorated with hundreds of human skulls and bones. Homers, tibias, skulls and femurs alternate perfectly with elegant rococo decorations.

Among the most curious houses in Milan, it is impossible not to mention the igloo-shaped houses designed in the 1940s by the engineer Mario Cavallè.
Have you ever heard of it?
The idea was born inspired by American construction techniques. Built with red bricks, they all measure 45 square meters with entrance, bathroom, bedroom and kitchen spread over two floors.
Originally there were 12 igloo houses, but today there are only 8 left. Even more original were the two mushroom houses in Milan, but which are no longer visible.
