Really enjoy the food from here. A few firm favourites: sweet and sour special, chicken kung po, beancurd green peppers and black bean, salt and pepper squid and chips.

Recently ordered a special lunch box and it was really great value!

The staff are really nice, I would highly recommended this takeaway.

Our go to for Chinese takeaway locally. Delicious food. Great service. Normally very quick too, though even if we have to wait it's worth it. Get the salt and pepper crispy beef and thank me later.

China Town

A wonderful story! A truly marvelous place!!! A real working library with some of the rarest books on the planet! Our children were amazed at the treasures in the book shop downstairs. Wheelchair friendly throughout the building and the staff were most patient, informative and careful to point out certain features. It's been on our bucket list for a while and I'm so glad we put it on our priority list this time!

Such an incredible place so much history and so well kept. Lots of old books very well preserved. People at the reception very polite and friendly. Very well located within walking distance from the train station, Manchester Piccadilly. In my opinion this place is one of the ones to visit without a doubt.

An astonishingly beautiful location right in the centre of Manchester, a place to breathe and have a refreshing break from the shopping adventures on the streets outside (although there's a neat little store in here too).

The location is just extraordinary and with a changing rota of shows definitely worth returning to. It's free and inspiring and thoroughly recommended! And there's a cafe if you fancy a cuppa too.

John Rylands Research Institute and Library

Walked past this restaurant a week ago, the fancy decorations at the entrance along with the Alice in the Wonderland theme, already made a remarkable and unforgettable memory, that's why it's only right to come back and try this out with friends today. When we went in there, the beautiful flowers and delicate tableware were eye-catching, felt like experiencing an unique taste of an elegant and quality British afternoon tea, love the whole setting of the restaurant and the delicious popular tea set dishes, got the Lotus tea, it's great and refreshing, to go with the sweets and good looking desserts, scone, sandwiches. Absolutely 💯 an exceptional and attractive restaurant, worth going and hanging out there is fun and chill.

We really enjoyed our time here. This was a bit of a surprise booking for my mother who is obsessed with Alice in Wonderland. This was absolutely perfect. The ambiance fits the bill entirely. We came for our booking right as they opened which was a perfect time. We had a nice quiet corner table where we could enjoy and take in everything.
We ordered the Passionfruit, Guava and Mango tea and it was amazing, I highly recommend it.
The French toast and the eggs Benedict were fantastic.
The service was very attentive and friendly and our whole experience was very enjoyable. I highly recommend

Came here for a birthday lunch. It was pleasant enough, but the decor etc wasn't really my sort of thing.
The afternoon tea was nice, but I felt a bit on the expensive side.
The Assam tea was delicious though and service as good.

Came here for a chat with friends over drinks so my review is somewhat limited. Really like the space and the decor. Front is mainly catering to drinkers and there's also an outdoor area (right on Deansgate). The back is more dining and has a slightly different decor. Either way, really cosy and nice. Super chilled and casual when I was there in the late afternoon. Would love to come back and see what the food is like!

Great atmosphere and vibe. Wonderful view of Media City a d gorgeous sunset. I actually came twice for the wonderful service and vibe there.

we called in just after new year, absolutely beautiful inside & staff are friendly and very helpful, the live singer was superb.

Food was delicious the only thing was my daughter got the chicken and chorizo hanging kebab, myself and my husband got the sharer my daughters portion was bigger than the sharer so my husband sat moaning (as men do) overall everything was wonderful but I think the sharer portion should be bigger, its not worth the price he would have eaten that himself 🫣😂
The children's menu has plenty to choose from with some healthy choices which was good to see the burgers were brilliant sizes & they enjoyed their desert after huffing and puffing as the banana split had sold out but they were very happy!

Great place in the heart of Manchester. The atmosphere here can't be beaten on any day of the week. The drinks and food are both really good. They often have live music and the outdoor seating area is amazing with great decorations. If you're looking to chill out with friends and have a good drink, this is the place to be.

I visited again yesterday and it was different to how I remember it, at this point I'm not sure if the changes are good changes. I wasn't overly impressed with the food I ordered but the menu had a good range of dishes to try. I still love the outdoor space but again this had a different feel to it. It was just OK.

Amazing Sunday roast! We had the mushroom wellington (vegan), in a great atmosphere: sunny day and live music.
