Exceptional location. Excellent location, a stone's throw from the Duomo. Fantastic panorama of Ragusa Ibla from the terrace. Giusy welcomed us warmly and prepared an excellent breakfast.

Ragusa Ibla is fascinating and to fully enjoy it I recommend staying in this structure!
You are immersed in the historic center and you can reach the main sites on foot.
It is the right structure for a stay in Ibla.

We really enjoyed this place. It is exceptional both in terms of beauty and comfort, I recommend it to everyone, especially families with children, there is a beautiful and very large room with a double bed and two single beds. All new, white, high ceiling made of light wood, large bathroom, spacious and comfortable shower, there are also radiators for staying there in winter. Beautiful panoramic view from the windows. Great taste in the furnishings, the very comfortable quality mattresses, some perfectly restored antique furniture reminds you of being in a place with a great history. Breakfast with a wide choice of products for all tastes. Mrs. Giusi apart from being available as the owner of this beautiful residence in the center, she also does guided tours of Ragusa Ibla and is a very good and well-prepared guide. In short, when we still happen to be in Ragusa Ibla, we know where to go.

Super recommended guided tour!! It's nice to hear the history from the 1800s to today summarized in 4 rooms so that you never lose your curiosity! Very well maintained, little publicized, private club open to guided tours. The environments are original and truly beautiful. Advised!!

It is a beautiful, very elegant building, built in neoclassical style in the mid-nineteenth century as a private club for the local aristocracy, so that they could meet, chat and spend time away and isolated from ordinary people. The partners were all of high social standing and wanted a refined environment for themselves, sumptuously decorated with mirrors, paintings, frescoes, large chandeliers, sofas and precious curtains. In front of it there is a small gallery for the members to walk around and on the back a rich garden with palm trees and flowers. This exclusive place is still today a private club full of life, but it cannot be visited except through guided tours. A curiosity: in the episode "La luna di carta" of the television drama "Il Commissario Montalbano", its elegant peculiarity was chosen by the production as the location for setting the club frequented by the grumpy coroner Pasquano in which Montalbano goes to interrupt his play cards by pestering him with questions.

Nice place to visit especially during the feast of St. George on the 23rd April.

Majestic Duomo sitting high above the square with a massive iron fence and gate. Impressive.

As we passed through the square today, we noticed a wedding had just taken place, and the doors were open, and we ventured in.

Breathtaking structure with a main altar surrounded by red velvet curtain.  The side chapels are impressive by themselves with marble altars and huge paintings.

The details inside the Duomo are worth the visit if you travel to Ragusa.

A beautiful backdrop to the old town and lovely inside as well, there is a museum, which the lovely guide was very keen for us to see, but I would moderate your expectations!

Beautiful park in Ragusa Ibla. It is definurely worth a visit, if you are in the area. It is small, but has some lovely views of the countryside. There is a playground for children and toilets (although they hadn't been cleaned in a very long time when we visited in December 2022 and the taps didn't work).

Be aware that there is another location on google maps, named Giardino Ibleo (Corso Italia, Ragusa Superiore). Giardino Ibleo cannot be found at this site.

Lovely place with palm trees offering slight shade on a hot sunny day. Grab an ice cream and enjoy it Ibla Gardens.

Large beautiful green space in old town Ragusa.  Quite the surprise when I happened upon the park during my morning walk.

You enter through the main gate and are led into a large garden that is very impressive.  There are so many walkways, large plantings of shrubs and trees, so many places to sit and rest and a beautiful fountain in the center.

The views of the valley and the newer part of the city of Ragusa are visible from the outer edge of the park.

Nice surprise and worth the visit if traveling in Ragusa old town.

Giardino Ibleo

detail. However the rooms shown had simple furnishings and not the georgeous banquet setting as shown on google search.

Wonderful palazzo in such a great condition  of restoration. Special thanks to Domenico Arezzo for his guided tour in English. Only pity that only some rooms are open to public as the palazzo is actually a house hosting the family even nowadays. A must see!

I had high expectations given other people comments. But, I was very much disappointed. Not much to see, really. The view you get from the palace is the same you get from the street. Just visit few rooms, nothing impressing.

Palazzo Arezzo Di Trifiletti

Salita Commendatore, 97100 Ragusa RG, Italy

Located in the Ragusa Ibla area, it overlooks Via del Commendatore in the "archi" district and was purchased by the Municipality in the mid-19th century to become the seat of the Municipal Chancellery from which it takes its name. The construction work on the building, owned by the Nicastro family  began in the first half of the 18th century. It was completed in 1760, as an extension of another building still visible thanks to the presence of the old stable. The main elevation overlooks a small square in which two branches of the long staircase connect, once the only communication route between the upper and lower districts of the city.

Rebuilt in Baroque style in the first half of the eighteenth century by the noble Nicastro family, in 1840 it became the town hall, seat of the "chancellery" hence the name. Set in the steep and only road that originally connected Ragusa Superiore and Ragusa Inferiore, it has a rather narrow façade, bordered by two showy pilasters, characterized by a beautiful sculpted portal. Above there is an elegant balcony supported by five large shelves engraved with embroidery and facing a refined, richly decorated French door. Two other balconies, similar to the main one but less protruding, decorate the side facade.

Gioiello del barocco siciliano, incastonato nella Sicilia orientale. 
Vale assolutamente una visita, e anche almeno un pernottamento per godere pienamente del cibo locale e dei tanti negozietti di artigianato. 
E' un luogo che nel corso degli ultimi anni...
