Went there at midnight with my friends to eat appetizers and cold drinks. Atmosphere was great. Prices is also reasonable. They can improve there service for sure.

I didn't stay here but frequented the bar/restaurant/cafe on many occasions while staying nearby on Ram Buttri Alley.

The cafe opens around 8am and does a great and inexpensive full English style breakfast which became my kind of go to tradition for the last morning of any trips to Rambuttri Village.

Great seating, table service and food is pretty quick at that time of day. Another advantage is that they accept credit card. Great outlook near the entrance to the alley and a great place to unwind, catch up with friends for drinks and do a spot of people watching when in town.

Overall, a lovely little calm spot away from the busy Khao San road. However the servers insisted on charging us the bottle of beer we came with (this is common whilst walking around). Threatened us with the police but was not worth the hassle for 100 bhat and wasn't getting anywhere with the language barrier. Wished their staff would communicate with each other better as local businesses are often insistent on having customers in. The derogatory comments were unnecessary given we know basic Thai. For this, we were extremely disappointed and left a sour taste on our lovely evening. Won't be returning.

Sawasdee House

A bustling, vibrant district
Raw seafood beckons, but I tread cautiously.
The pepper pork soup have a perfect balance of flavors with generous portion of different types of pork’s. The must try spicy squirt surprises with its lingering heat. While the Thai fried seafood noodle was a bit too wet, the crab cake held its own

Vibrant place to spend the late evening.
Amazing mix of Thai - Chinese food.
Many amazing restaurant. You will need multiple visits to explore all of them properly.
And yet, even for a single place they offer so much variety that you can't cover in one visit.

When people talk about amazing Thai food. This is the place 😊

Chinatown is a place that I have visited twice now. The first time was with my brother, and we had a great time exploring the area.

The food is amazing. There are countless restaurants and stalls selling all sorts of delicious food, from traditional Thai dishes to Chinese and international cuisine. I tried a few different things this time around, and I was not disappointed.

The shopping is great. There are many shops selling everything from clothes and souvenirs to electronics and home goods. I found some great bargains here, but be sure to haggle with the vendors.

The atmosphere is electric. The streets are always bustling with activity, and there is always something to see and do. You can find street performers, fortune tellers, and even massage parlors.

China Town

OMG! For me it was even worse than Bangla Road. It’s a place for active and party people who are okay with crazy-noisy stuff. I couldn’t even walk there cause the music was extremely loud and each cafe had its own music playing. So it was kinda chaos)) The fact is I was there in daylight and I liked it, but at night….😀
It’s good to experience that once in your life maybe. The only thing I enjoyed was street food 💜😝
It’s not for me but I think many people love that place. So, if you like that kinda chaos then it’s okay.

The place has dropped in my feeling. Some good bars and eating options and there’s always places selling t-shirts and elephant pants but where things previously were all negotiable and fun the feeling has changed. Now there’s more shops selling weed but generally in the evening I think the feeling here has changed. Still some cool places to grab dinner and a beer though.

Khao San road is sooo fun!!! It’s not too long and it’s very hot during the day (mbe it’s better to visit at night time) but it’s so lively!!
A lot of vendors with reasonable price, you can try to bargain but not all the stores accept it.
We found a small place to buy the passport holders, wallets and had it personalized. The guy engraved our names on it and we loved it soooo much! He helped design it too!
People were selling scorpions, spiders, some other bugs and crocodile meat. If you’re adventurous mbe you’ll like to try :))
The toilet is savage!! You pay 10baht for toilet but the entrance looks like a jail :)

The food was great!! We ended up ordering 2-3 dishes per head, the tom yum kung was amazing!

Khaosan road

The tallest and largest golden Buddha I’ve ever seen in my life! You’ll see it right when you walk inside! It’s free admission and wear socks with runners if you can because the staircases (there’s a lot) is very hot when you walk on it to go inside the temple!

We also went to their cafe nearby for their AC to cool down from the heat as we were waiting for our driver to pick us up. Ordered a Thai Milk Tea for $50 baht and it was sooo yummy as I was super thirsty!

It is really quite amazing how large the Buddha statue is. I went to visit during the evening and the plus side is that there were very few people around. The minus is that there were many statues to the side that weee covered with metal  gates.  The white structure was also closed at 6:00pm so be sure to come earlier if you want the whole experience.

For a few hundred baht, you can arrive from a boat which will give you a tour around the canal and give you opportunities to take some amazing photos or videos. See my other post.

My absolute favorite temple in Bangkok. I love the buddha statue and the views inside the building behind area impeccable. You can go up top and outside for even more breathtaking views. Very amazing quality craftsmanship inside, plus they hand paint it all. I seen in person and was honestly amazed by their skill. Take some time to donate some baht and give offerings if you're into the religion. Personally I spent quite a bit of time here meditating and praying and giving offerings.
I also enjoy the amulets for purchase here and the overall atmosphere of the place.

Go early to avoid most of the crowds as usual when visiting, as you should elsewhere in the city. I will always venture back here whether it is by train and taxi or by river boat.

Paknam Phasi Charoen Temple

Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200, Thailand

Overall, it was a majestic experience. I highly recommend anyone visiting to borrow an umbrella near the ticket counter upon entering, trust me, it's a lifesaver against the scorching heat. The heat literally burns you. Don't forget sunscreen too.

The palace complex is vast and filled with rich history and intricate details, especially the murals that tell many captivating stories. To fully appreciate the art and architecture, consider getting a guide. While there's a counter providing free tour guides in various languages, I found that the English-speaking guides were not as fluent as I had hoped, making it tough to follow along with the history being shared.  it would be wise to find a proficient tour guide or to do some research before your visit. you'll be able to fully immerse yourself in the grandeur and storied past of these temples and palace . Oh , and when you're done, the umbrella can be easily returned at a booth near the exit, which is quite convenient.

All in all, the Grand Palace is a remarkable site that you shouldn't miss when in Thailand. Just come prepared and you'll have a much more enjoyable and educational visit. 5 stars for the overall experience!

Stunning buildings & architecture at The Grand Palace. We arrived here at approx 10am & it was very busy & very hot. TIP: make sure you have some water, a hat & sunscreen with you. Also check to ensure you have the correct attire to enter or you will be made to buy clothing in order to enter. We collected a free map inside & also signed up for a free tour in English, which lasted approx 30 minutes & provided you with some interesting historical facts. Well worth a visit.

The Grand Palace

Wat Arun is absolutely a place you should visit when in Bangkok. I arrived before sunset, around 5 pm, as they close at 6 pm. It’s on Friday. Be ready for crowds if you come around this time. The weather is already not too hot, and the sky displays its prettiest blue and yellow colors. Outside the entrance gate, you'll find many shops that rent traditional clothes for taking pictures, all of them beautiful. The temple has many intricate details. As the sun sets, the sky transitions from orange to pinkish-purple. It’s also recommended to observe this temple during sunset time as it looks majestic.

Although I waited for while to visit Wat Arun, I'm happy that I was able to make time to share my experience with a childhood friend. There is so much to take in here. The ground are quite expansive and the buildings too numerous to list. It is best to look at my photos since a picture is worth a thousand words. We arrived early in the day to avoid the heat since there is not a lot of shade to protect you from the searing sun. There are drinks and ice blocks available to cool give you a respite while waiting for your return boat to your point of departure.

A beautiful and unusual temple, mainly outdoors. A real must see and the traditionally dressed Thai visitors bring some amazing additional colour to the temple. You cannot go to the top but it has so much detail to admire its still a definite place to visit.

Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan

A must do visit. The reclining golden Buddha in Bangkok is an amazing sight. 200 THB admission fee to enter the premises. Stunning Buddha, 46 metres in length & 15 metres in height, which just about fits in the building. Lots of other smaller Buddha's & historical pictures & ornaments in the surrounding buildings. Do make sure you wear appropriate clothing when you visit!

Nice temple and near to the grand palace.
You need to wear proper clothes like no shorts, no revealing clothes ( above the knee,tube).

You need to take hat and umbrellas with you as the temperature is very hot and humid.
Advisable also to take extra shirts/clothes because you will sweat a lot and your clothes will get wet in just for few minutes!!!

Anyways,nice to visit when around the area.

This temple is famous for its Reclining Buddha and located near Grand palace so that you may make plan to visit altogether in a same day.
Reclining Buddha is so big that we cannot see it at once and have to see it part by part. There are some spaces inside to view the part of it and you have to make a queue and wait until enjoying or taking pictures of it. I think building for this huge Buddha is so small that it is really crowded (hot as well).
Along with the size of this sculpture, it is also quite unique to enjoy the impressive patterns in his soles. Worth a visit if you visit Grand palace or place near this temple.
