We loved our stay at Avani Chaweng! Me and my new husband came here for our honeymoon and stayed a full week. The staff was absolutely amazing, especially Dadar, Reea and Cartoon. They always greeted us with a smile, made sure we have everything we would ever need and made us feel welcomed. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The whole vibe of the place was so cool and the pool club (Seen) was awesome for a young couple like us. We had the BEST time and will return for sure!!

Top floor rooms are ok. The others have no privacy. Service is poor. The cocktail I had was rubbish. Banging music all day long from the beach club, cigarette smoke drifting in from neighbouring balconies. It's 1 minute walk to the south end of Chaweng beach, but there's not much else to appeal

Amazing service from staff, extremely clean facility, great location for beach or walking to town, love their music. Everything has been thought of in the design stage of these beautiful buildings! I will be back, worth every penny and more. Well done to the whole team at  Avani and Seen Chaweng.

Amazing place to see different types of Buddha Statues. I was totally mesmerised by seeing those beautiful statues of Lord Buddha.

Also we can buy so many souvenirs from there, if you want to have memories of your travel. I couldn’t tell which one of Lord Buddha statue is amazing. All of them were so beautiful.

The main Lord Buddha in the front is so huge and it shines when Sunlight hits.

Amazing to watch Thailand culture.

The place is nice, if you are on a ride and you can do a short stop then it is fine. But I would not recommend to drive especially for the Big Buddha to this place.

You have a nice view from the top of the Buddha and you can see Thai people praying at the statue.

You can see that this is a very touristic area, because directly at the parking space there are a lot of shops and some restaurants. I would not recommend to buy or eat there, because the prices are higher.

A very nice and beautiful place to visit. Backed by the Indian ocean with amazing blue turquoise water. When I visit it was around 11:30am and it was super hot but the corridors in temple facing ocean feels so good. A must visit place if you are in Samui. Good to go.

Big Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Yai)

Cool little garden oasis tucked away in the mountains. ฿80pp entrance fee must be paid.

I'd say it's worth checking out as it's secluded and has a cool vibe to it. Staring at the statues might freak you out especially if you're a little waved 🍃 but it is pretty small and if you're not intent on absorbing it's vibe a little you can see it all in like 5 mins. But we enjoyed our quiet time there being the only people there as we entered at 17:45 just before closing - we were able to stay longer past closing time since noone kicked us out 🤗

Place is beautiful with statues which seem old and amazing. But it's very short, like you can see it all in matter on 5 minutes and it wasn't really worth the entry ticket of 80Tbh each. I wish it had more to offer.

Nice peaceful place to get absorbed in nature and the shapes of the sculptures whilst hearing very calming trickling water. It’s not as big as I expected which is good in a way as it makes you really slow down and appreciate each one instead of racing around to see it all… because if you did that it would be over in a flash.

Wear some bug spray / insect repellent!

Lots of people taking photos too, which can sometimes pull you out of the zone of just relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere - but it’s a tourist spot right?

Beautiful picturesque temple with a few different areas to see, be sure to feed the fish and turtles! The feed can be bought there for 10 baht.
Coffee shop also on site.
This has been my favourite temple so far in Thailand and you can spend over half an hour walking round to take it all in

A great stop in if you are touring the local temples. Unbelievable architecture with such delicate design and very well kept. Each temple has its own very special feel. You would need to have 30-45 minutes spare to take in all this site has to offer.

Dress code does apply, no short skirts or shorts and no showing of the shoulders.

No entry fee and and wait to get in, you can just stroll around at your own leisure.

Thousands of fish in the ponds that you can feed to stir up a huge feeding frenzy!

Totally worth a visit to add to your list.

Gorgeous temple with so much to see and so many picturesque opportunities. Each wat amazes me but this is definitely one of the better ones
