it was beautiful and unbelievable an oceanfront castle. It is free to go up inside and to the roof. Another name of the castle is Egg castle (sounds very cute) The castle is rectangular in plan, approximately 200 by 45 metres at its widest and the castle is popular for newlyweds to have their wedding photos taken. Inside the castle walls are several buildings that are often used for exhibitions and other special events.

if you have some extra time, there are some good views on the top.

Beautiful and historic place on the lungomare of Napoli, plenty of great restaurants and bars in the area too! Perfect for an evening walk and dinner!

This is not a pretty castle, but it is a very impressive and intimidating one. When you think of the medieval ages, a fortress like this comes to mind. Located on a small islet, it jets out into the sea. It's free to enter and consequently pretty crowded, but definitely worth visiting.

Castello dell'Ovo

Beautiful view of the city and the golf of Napoli. I was told the sunset over the sea is amazing, but during Summer it's impossible to see it from the castle, since it closes at 18:30 and the sunset is way later. I don't recommend going if you are already tired, you have to walk a lot uphill. Take some comfy shoes and enjoy!

The view from above was spectacular, but that was all there was to it. You don't have anything castle-like inside like exhibitions or anything.

We walked all the way up from Via Toledo to the castle and it was pretty tough. I recommend take the funicular.

6 Euro entry.

The best view of the town and bay in Naples. An absolute must when you are in town. Ideal for sunset , the last entry is at 18h30 and the place closes at 19h30. There is nothing to visit inside the castle, but the view from the top. The ticket of 3,50 euro for an adult is perfectly adequate.
You climb the ramp for 15 minutes and then are rewarded by a spectacular view.
Ideal is to take the Funicular to the nearby station.

Castel Sant'Elmo

Not to be missed. 🫶🏼 The waiting time can be a little long, but I do recommend taking a ticket for a table seat, going to a nearby bar to have a drink and you‘ll be ready to enjoy your pizza in no time!

It was recommended to us to grab a table instead of the takeaway as it is quicker.

The pizza was very tasty, service very nice and the prices… amazing! 5,50€ for a pizza, can‘t complain.

We were doubting if we should go because of the advertised waiting time, but it was 100% worth it. We also spoke to the pizzaiolo who has worked there for 25 years, such a nice person, so friendly, just made the experience so much better.

Fun fact: they make around 2,000 pizzas per day!

Crowded, noisy, the incredibly long line, but definitely worth!

At 4 pm the lane was huge. There are two different on the right for pickup and in the middle of the door there is a guy that gives you a number for table inside.

We had to wait 40 minutes but with a ticket in hand we spend some time nearby so the wait wasn’t a pain.

You can order only 4 types of pizzas, all simple but super tasty.

I think it’s worth to try the place where the Neapolitan pizza was born (-:

Come early to avoid the big line up but still expect to wait a little. The restaurant is bigger than I expected so it does go fast. My margarita pizza they served me was cold. Probably was sitting there cause we ordered and the margarita pizza came out 1min later. It’s a place to try at least once in your life and than move on to other pizzerias in Napoli

This was amazing! Our tour guide was great really knew his stuff and was so funny and educational. Went to queue for tickets not long after opening and waited 15min before we got put into the English speaking tour It was €15 well worth it!

One of our favorite attractions in Naples. Our guide was really great and made it interesting and fun. A really adventure! Definitely recommend. No need to bring a sweater. We were allowed to film.

The Naples underground was visually impressive and thinking about how old some of these caves are and for how many generations they have been added on to is mind boggling. However, booking the tour didn’t really feel worth it. The explanations we got were often hard to understand, not helped by the fact that everyone has to move in a line due to the tunnels being quite narrow in places, with the guide leading and lecturing up front. I felt hustled through this “experience” creating the most touristy experience of the entire stay. You should take the tour only if you insist to take pictures yourself, if not this is a part of Naples you can skip. Filming is not allowed.

Really lovely place, takes you back to your carefree childhood. Very creative little museum/workshop. Ticket is very cheap (2 or 3€). They offer tours in italian and english, that last for about 20 minutes.

If you ever had a doll there must be part of you that wants to visit. In a month spent in Napoli, this was the most fascinating and enjoyable and best visit I made. After visiting the museum, you get to meet the 4th generation hospital doctor who gives you a talk, and then you get to watch a wonderful and wacky short film where the dolls in the wall talk to you. If there is one thing you do in Naples go visit . I think it was only 3 euro. Don't miss it!!

What to say!! This place is incredible, what an amazing experience. I highly recommend people, children and adults to stop here. Right in the heart of Naples, just before San Gregorio armeno, this little museum is a little gem. There you can take your old beloved dolls, soft toys, any other toy to get fixed by the “surgeon” Tiziana, a lovely lady that learned this art from her dad, she’s the 4th generation of doll’s doctors and she explains the lovely story behind the dolls hospital, there since 1895. For a little price for the ticket you can enjoy a 15-20 minutes visit on this very peculiar, full of magic place.

This restaurant is a must-visit with a bustling atmosphere, so reserve in advance.

The prices are fair, and the selection of white wine is impressive.

Don't miss the Neapolitan broccoli and the outstanding whole octopus spaghetti.

Great local osteria (you absolutely need to book in advance). Great local dishes, reasonable prices. We had dinner at Toto's table (Italian actor, he used to  come here a lot). Highly recommend (PS: the seating is a bit on the hard side, be prepared)

Delicious food.
The portions were nice, and all the dishes were really flavorful and filling.
The service was fast.
The interior radiates southern vibes, homey and rustic.
Highly recommended.

Very interesting and authentic place in the heart if Naples. Worth to visit, but take care of your belongings!

Great place for history buffs and for those who want to immerse in the local flavour. Olds churches in the cobbled old town with lots of souvenir shops and sweet stalls.

One of those steps you have to visit when you are in Napoli. Very interesting but also gull of tourists.
