Beautiful minimalist church. So minimalist it’s a bit of a shock after visiting many ornate churches in Paris.  The architecture is a representation of the tallest waterfall in Iceland. There was a free organ concert on their powerful organ. Also recommend going to the top of church tower for a 360 view of Reykjavík, bay, and mountains.

I love the unusual architecture of the Hallgrimskirkja that makes it so distinctive. When we visited there was a hurricane, and I will never forget the sound of the wind howling when we were on a high level. The windows near the top offer a panoramic view of Reykjavik. An attraction not to be missed.

Absolutely lovely! This is not a cathedral, but is the largest church in Iceland. The outside is rugged and matches the feel of the country. The inside is simple and elegant.

Hallgrimskirkja

Loved watching the midnight sun reflect off of the side of this stunning building! Also very nice to check out the inside too. Nice variety of music and entertainment options. The parking garage was also very easy to navigates with lights annotating available spots.

The Harpa Concert Hall is a superb award-winning building by the coast in Reykjavik. I loved the design of the place with its honeycomb window pattern. We had been walking by the coast in heavy wind and pouring rain, and we were so glad to take shelter in the Harpa, where we enjoyed a chocolate dessert in the restaurant.

Phenomenal building, a real work of art both outside and in. The hall is open for visitors to come in and have a look around. Don't miss the opportunity to look up at the gorgeous ceiling! If you walk to the back, overlooking the harbor, you can also see the Pufa art installation.

Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre

Every trip to Iceland must start from here. The city is definitely worth a visit. Even if very small, is very young and eclectic.
